ที่มาและความสำคัญ

ระบบการพยากรณ์โรคปริทันต์ของสมาคมปริทันตวิทยาแห่งประเทศไทยได้รับการพัฒนาและใช้เป็นแนวทางในการประเมินพยากรณ์โรคทางคลินิกมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง อย่างไรก็ตาม ด้วยความก้าวหน้าขององค์ความรู้ทางปริทันตวิทยา ตลอดจนความจำเป็นในการพิจารณาปัจจัยทางคลินิกที่ครอบคลุมทั้งในระดับซี่ฟันและระดับผู้ป่วย สมาคมฯ จึงได้ทบทวนและปรับปรุงระบบการพยากรณ์โรคให้มีความชัดเจน เหมาะสมกับการใช้งานทางคลินิก และสามารถเชื่อมโยงกับการจำแนกโรคปริทันต์ตาม AAP/EFP 2018

ในปี พ.ศ. 2568 สมาคมฯ ได้จัดการสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการและการเสวนาหาฉันทามติ (consensus) ในหัวข้อ “Update in Periodontal Prognosis” เพื่อพัฒนาระบบการพยากรณ์โรคปริทันต์ฉบับปรับปรุง และส่งเสริมความเข้าใจและการสื่อสารที่สอดคล้องกันระหว่างทันตแพทย์เฉพาะทางปริทันต์ ทันตแพทย์ทั่วไป และทันตแพทย์สาขาอื่น ๆ

Background and Significance

The periodontal prognosis system developed by the Thai Association of Periodontology (TAP) has been continuously developed and used as a guideline for clinical periodontal prognosis assessment. However, with advances in periodontal knowledge and the need to consider comprehensive clinical factors at both the tooth and patient levels, the TAP has reviewed and revised the prognosis system to improve its clarity, clinical applicability, and alignment with the 2018 AAP/EFP periodontal disease classification.

In 2025, the TAP organized a workshop and consensus discussion entitled “Update in Periodontal Prognosis” to develop the revised periodontal prognosis system and to promote understanding and communication among periodontists, general dentists, and other specialties.
